ESG

At Re-bag®, we are constantly working to find new environmentally friendly materials that we can use in our production of bags and packaging. We are convinced that by producing through environmentally friendly practices, we ensure a healthy and sustainable business for the future. To ensure that the materials meet our requirements for competence and quality, we work based on several CSR parameters when validating the material.

The "S" in ESG

The “E” in ESG stands for “Environmental” factors. This includes assessing our impact on the environment and our practices in environmental sustainability.

Re-bag holds the following certifications supporting environmental traceability:

  • GOTS – organic
  • GRS – recycled materials
  • FSC – sustainable forestry

Re-bag supports the majority of our products with life cycle assessments. This allows our customers to measure the environmental impact of the products we deliver. We have been working with LCAs since 2012 and understand the importance of reporting in Scope 3 and ensuring full traceability of environmental footprints.

Our LCA is based on our manufacturers, and the tool is developed by a third-party Danish GTS institute.

The "S" in ESG

The "S" in ESG stands for "Social" factors. Here we focus on the impact of Re-bag and our suppliers on employees, customers, and local communities. Social factors include workers' rights, working conditions, diversity and inclusion, community engagement, product responsibility, and supply chain ethics. We evaluate their social performance and have been participating in Amfori BSCI since 2012, in addition to accepting SA8000 and Sedex (4 Pillar).

The "G" in ESG

The "G" in ESG stands for “Governance” factors. This involves evaluating our leadership structure, decision-making, and accountability. It includes aspects such as corporate governance, leadership integrity, ethics, risk management, and compliance with laws and regulations. Good governance ensures that we, as a company, operate responsibly, transparently, and effectively, building trust and creating long-term value.

We have prepared our first ESG & Due Diligence report for 2023.

SDG's in Re-bag ®

At Re-bag®, we emphasize being transparent and specific about our work with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. You can learn more about which goals we focus on and how we work on them.

Life cycle assessment (LCA)

At Re-bag®, we have engaged in life cycle assessment (LCA) for our products since 2012. In collaboration with the GTS Institute, Re-bag ® has developed a model that enables our customers to be transparent concerning the traceability of their product's CO2 footprint. The model must be continuously maintained to ensure its accuracy. The model was last updated in 2023.

With an LCA report, your company can obtain environmental data that can be used directly in your Scope 3 reporting as well as in branding and marketing activities.
