Re-bag GRS-Certification
Re-Bag is Now GRS-Certified - Meaning More Certified Material Options for Our Customers
At Re-Bag, we continuously strive to strengthen transparency and responsibility across our supply chains.
We’re therefore pleased to announce that we are now officially GRS-certified (Global Recycled Standard), replacing our previous Vincotte certification.
Why GRS Instead of Vincotte?
The Vincotte certification only covered PP-woven materials, whereas the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) includes a much wider range of material types - from recycled cotton and polyester to down products.
This means that we and our suppliers can now document traceability for many more types of recycled materials.
For Re-Bag, switching to GRS was an important and intentional decision, as we want to offer transparency across a broader range of materials than before.

What Is GRS Certification?
The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is an international standard owned by Textile Exchange.
GRS sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, supply chain traceability, environmental practices, and social working conditions.
Key points include:
- A product must contain at least 20% recycled materials, and to carry the GRS logo, at least 50% certified recycled content is required.
- The entire supply chain is subject to a chain-of-custody system, ensuring that the material can be traced from raw input to final product.
- Requirements include environmental management, a ban on harmful chemicals, and verification of fair working conditions.

What Does This Mean in Practice?
- You can now choose GRS-certified bags in a variety of materials - not just PP-woven.
- You can also get GRS-certified packaging boxes or polybags with verified recycled content and full traceability.
- More and more industries are requesting GRS certification, as it supports ESG reporting and meets international standards for responsible sourcing.
Increased Trust and Transparency
GRS certification is verified documentation of recycled content, traceability, and responsible practices.
It helps our customers make informed decisions with greater transparency.
Today, GRS-certified products are recognised as more trustworthy – precisely because the certification is verified by an independent third party.
This helps brands stand out in a competitive market.
